Piles are rigid structural components inserted in the soil surface and underlying rock strata to transfer loads from an overlaying structure (superstructure). Depending on the kind of load and soil conditions, the installation method can vary.
This form of pile installation replaces soil extracted by drilling rather than occupying the space by displaced soil. As a result, it is mostly dependent on the end-bearing capability or friction of the earth layer at the drilled depth. Bored piles have the greatest pile dimensions and hence the greatest load bearing capacity.

UEF piles have served as the basis for some of the UAE's most recognizable landmarks
UEF's extensive expertise, in-depth understanding of ground engineering, and diverse variety of equipment and machines have resulted in the best geotechnical solutions in the region.
Casing is a permanent or temporary support structure for a bored piling system. It is employed when deeper, more unstable soil conditions exist. Casing is inserted and withdrawn using a drilling rig or a vibrator coupled to a crane during the drilling stage of construction. In addition, vertical and raked board piles are offered by UEF
Continuous flight auger (CFA) piles are a form of bored cast-in-situ replacement pile. Piles are bored and filled with concrete in a single continuous process, allowing for a significantly shorter construction time compared with other types of piles. After casting, reinforcement is inserted to the wet concrete, allowing the pile to withstand the full range of structural capacity.
Micropiles are piles that have a relatively small diameter and are used in cases where complex site conditions and design specifications are available. Micropiles can also be utilized in correlation with other ground improvements methods.
In unstable soil strata, the use of bentonite fluid assists in stabilizing the bore, especially in large diameter deeper piles and allows the insertion of heavily reinforcing steel cages.
According to certain design specifications, bentonite could be replaced by polygel.
UEF's operations offer comprehensive solutions for foundation engineering works in the commercial, residential, marine, and industrial civil engineering sectors by collaborating with our design team.
Our design development expertise enables us to provide value-added solutions. Depending on depth, subsoil conditions, and surrounding structures, we offer various shoring methods such as H Beam, contiguous pile, secant pile wall, sheet pile, and diaphragm wall
Many projects involving maritime works, including interventions such sheet piles and marine bored piles, have been successfully executed by UEF.
When the properties of existing soil are insufficient to meet the requirements, UEF provides ground improvement services in low bearing capacity soils.
UEF offers a complete enabling works package for all types of building projects. In addition to the excavation work itself, enabling activities include shoring for deep excavations and dewatering. The primary contractor will be given a ready-to-build site for the basements and superstructure.
In reality, experience has proven that faults may arise in piles.
The goal of testing is to detect such defects before they cause any harm. UEF's humble history and experiences proves our excellence with no major failings till this day.
